- Morning sickness
Morning sickness is a common condition that is experienced by pregnant women and the cause of it is the change in hormones which alter the sleeping patterns and induce a sense of sluggishness towards the body’s demand of more rest and sleep. This condition can be tackled through simple tactics which include avoiding of fluids like water, milk or juices at the start of day; as it aggravates the morning sickness. Further, it is advised that lady should take smaller meals six times a day at intervals rather than taking heavy meals three times a day.
- Backache
Backache is among the most common problems of pregnant women. As the pressure in abdomen region increase due to fetus size in womb, the muscles and spine get stressed and the aching begins. This aching can aggravate as the pregnancy advances. Backache can be handled through a better posturing during sitting, standing and walking. Try to keep the spine straight so that the excess stress is negated and aching does not develop or it is atleast reduced. Lighter exercising is also recommended after consultation with the doctor or a coach, says the pregnancy doctor in Aurangabad.
- Constipation
Constipation is normal during pregnancy because the bowel movement gets slow. The hormone progesterone increases and is responsible for the slow bowels. Apart from this, iron supplements also develop constipation. However, the problem can be controlled through optimized intake of water and other fluids, more of fruits and veggies and fiber foods.
- Heart burn and indigestion
This happens because the bulging abdomen pushes the stomach upwards and acid reflux becomes frequent causing heartburn and indigestion. Avoid hot and spicy foods, take smaller meals and do not go to bed immediately after eating.
- Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are caused when due to excess pressure in pelvic region, the venous flow gets affected. The lady should take more of water and fiber rich foods. Use of ice packs or anesthetic gels can reduce pain and swelling in the region.
- Edema
Due to more water retention in tissue in third trimester, a general edema condition in hands and feet may be experienced. Pregnant lady should try to avoid sitting or standing in one posture for prolonged period.
- Cramps and fatigue
Cramps develop due to stressed muscles in pelvic region while fatigue is generic response of the body that seeks more rest. You should try to better manage your sleep and rest schedules.
